en The relaxation procedure helped both groups cope with pain. Additionally, our tests showed both groups had higher physical pain thresholds after the relaxation session. But the obese participants still had a lower threshold for tolerating the pain.

en He's a really good quarterback. It really helps him when you can run the ball with the play action to suck in the safeties. What really killed us was Toledo converting 12 of 17 third-down plays. We had him stopped a few times but he scrambled and made big plays.

en We've certainly gone through some adversity, but adversity builds character. We have a great core group that's not only intact for the remainder of this season but beyond. A lot of times when you go through something like this, you become toughened and hard-crusted. When those moments come in the next few weeks, a lot of times the breakthrough moment hap- pens when you never look back.

en Dan Howell has been doing a good job at camp, making plays out there, being very physical out there, running to the ball at all times. He has improved a lot.

en We hit the ball a little better than what is shows. A couple of times we hit the ball right at their defense. Plus, they made some big plays when they had to. It was a difficult day for us. But we'll bounce back.

en Well, he's my teammate now, but I've played against him enough times in the past to know that Champ Bailey is the best. The biggest reasons are his cover skills and his ability to make you pay for any mistake you make. When you don't think he's in position, and you try to take advantage of that, he has such great ability to break to the ball and make up that ground. He'll make you pay, and that's just great cover skills and pure athletic ability. He also doesn't take plays off, so he's always giving you his best.

en He has outstanding ball skills. He's a smart player. He anticipates well. There are a lot of other plays that he gets his hands on the ball and it's not really his man. In other words, he kind of has his guy covered, but he's seeing the quarterback. He sees the ball thrown and then he breaks on the ball . . . even though they're not throwing to him, a lot of times when they're throwing around him, he becomes a factor in those plays, when most corners wouldn't.

en That was two back-to-back triples leading off that inning. Patrick hit the ball hard all four at-bats. The two triples he hit were hard-hit balls. I hope he stays hot this weekend. I hope Charlie continues to hit well. He had a tough night tonight with one hit, but I'm not worrying about Charlie.

en Improvement from a young guy comes in small chunks. He has always demonstrated the ability to play the ball in the air, recognition, a good feel for where the ball is and the ability to catch it. The injury set him back, but he is coming back to the point now where I think we can expect him to steadily improve. He has to be a guy who helps us win.

en It wasn't necessarily anything he showed me on the football field as far as throws, or his physical ability or anything like that. It was just his demeanor in the way that he was able to mentally get through (adversity) and not only stand pat, but continue to ascend.

en He played 23 plays and touched the ball four times, which means he wasn't touching the ball 19 times that he was in there. Blocking isn't his forte.
