Not with us being in the National League (parks) and pitchers having to hit. I don't think there's a chance that's going to happen.

That is very rare at the big-league level. But those things don't just happen by chance. There is some luck involved, but preparation is important, too. And the pitchers have to perform.

National parks are national parks because they contain things that are unique on the national level. One of the components, the night sky, will be eroded away.

The list is a metaphor for troubled national parks all across the nation, ... Some of our national parks are becoming a national disgrace.

Brett will provide us with a proven major league starter who is capable of pitching 200 innings. He has been one of the more durable pitchers in the National League over the last four years and will be a great addition to the staff.

I believe you're going to see him become one of the elite pitchers in the National League. You saw it at the end of last year. Our team takes on a different personality when he's on the mound.

I think these games will really help us. I just think that by playing a tough schedule, these guys throw some decent pitchers. We cannot let our nation's parks deteriorate beyond repair. It is essential that Congress act now to protect and restore our National Parks System.

We're going against three of the best pitchers in the National League, and if you look one minute past today, you're going to be in trouble. If you start looking down the road, you're going to get sideswiped.

I would have to say they are the team to beat in the National League. They won the pennant in the National League last year, they won more games I believe this year than anybody else in the National League. It will be a tough battle for us to win this series.

I think we all would admit that we didn't have the premier team in the National League this year, but we did make the playoffs, ... Crazy things can happen in a short series. In our particular case we fell behind in those three games and never really gave ourselves a chance. So that was disappointing. We played down to people's expectations. So that was very disappointing.

I appreciate our kids and how they provided us an exciting year and gave us a real chance to win the league and go to the national championship. The past few years we've not had that chance.

They're young and sometimes (mistakes are) going to happen. They're both freshmen and that's hard in our league. But they're both good pitchers.
