It was good to be out there again. Actually I told my wife the same thing: 'It'll be fun to go out in a stadium on a field competing.' Even though it was just a scrimmage.

We were told to leave by the police and we made our way off the field. I didn't think it (the shots) affected the game, because we were already ahead. I think it was more of a safety thing. Everything happened on the outside of the stadium.

I think the good things are that you have no distractions. You can go to your hotel room, and get a good meal. The bad things are the familiarity with the field. When you play on your home field you know where your spatial presence is. Trips to the West Coast can take something out of you - the time change and playing at a different time of day each effect you a little bit. The fans make a difference too. I think the biggest thing is the familiarity and special comfort you have playing in your own stadium.

We are going to turn our stadium around between the Jaguar game on (Jan. 1) at 4 p.m. and we'll be playing the next day at 12:30 (p.m.). The field will be a little messed up. The grounds crew could fix (it). But, really, the stadium can be done.

That's the biggest thing we were trying to get across is that we have all the right tools. The free-agent signings, the trades that have come over, we have all the right tools. We just have to put it together and do it on the field. It's one thing to be a good team on paper; it's another thing to go out there and be a good team on the field.

Hass is big, very strong and physical, ... He does a good job on the line of scrimmage, runs really good routes, has good hands and adjusts to the football as well as anyone I've watched in awhile. We've got to make sure we know where he's lined up because they move him all over the place, much like we did when we had Arnold Jackson. Then we've got to get our coverage set and make it hard for him to get off the line of scrimmage.
