You've got to be patient, and you've got to take what's available to you with the underneath stuff. So it's about being patient, but sometimes that's really hard to do, because you want to get that ball downfield.

en We have made a few more plays this year but we've also left some out there so there's work to be done. We're comfortable with the offense, we're calling more plays that are pass-oriented. We're making more plays, getting more opportunities to make plays. That's the biggest thing, getting more chances to make plays downfield.

en They've done a great job in December of shutting down teams' offenses as far as running the ball and making guys throw the ball, and they don't give up a lot of big plays. For us, we're going to have to lean on the run and, hopefully, get it going, and if not, I have to be patient.

en [He says they will.] Everybody would like to see that, ... Oregon State plays very aggressive on defense. They try to get eight or nine guys down to stop the run and play really tight press coverage with their corners. What they try to do is get a pass rush and put a clock on the quarterback, and they're very good at that. They have three new starters in the secondary. Everyone has been waiting for the ball to go downfield and we're definitely going to have to do that in this game and make some big plays.

en He has fantastic long-ball, and ball reactions, ... Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that quick. And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

He's always going. It's very impressive. He's not the biggest guy (5-11, 205), yet he plays like a big guy. He can do everything.

en On film we saw them just come up and snap the ball. But [Sunday] he was going into a cadence and when everybody comes up there and he sees blitz, then he throws it deep downfield. Maybe it's because of all the big plays we gave up the weeks before, and they used that to their advantage.
