Obviously we're disappointed. Anytime ordsprog

en Obviously, we're disappointed. Anytime you play the No. 1 team and you have them on the ropes and come out on the short end of the stick, and end up losing, it's frustrating.

en We have emphasized not to be scared of anyone since I got here, ... We don't want tradition to beat us before we get on the field. We have to have a gritty performance. Sometimes we will come out on the short end of the stick, but our kids will play really hard. With that in mind, I won't be disappointed at all if they give me everything they have.

en Anytime you have a playoff team on the ropes and (lose), it's disappointing. We came out in the second half and started settling for jump shots and you can't do that against a team like New Jersey.

en Any back-to-back is tough, but especially against a team like Vancouver. Even though they've been losing, they've been scoring a lot of goals and just coming out on the short end of the stick.

en We're all frustrated. Anytime you are losing, it's not fun. We've just got to stick together and continue to work and finish the season out strong and that's pretty much it.

en The bottom line is we lost another hockey game. We've got to find a way to stop that slide. I think it's frustrating anytime you lose. Right now maybe it's not even as important how we're losing or how we win. It's finding a way to win.

en I don't plan on transferring. Last year. I had a lot of ups and downs as far as them constantly losing and I was unable to play. But me and another teammate, Stephanie Merlo, we made an agreement. She's going to stick it out; I'm going to stick it out.

en I'm disappointed, ... I would have done three more seasons probably -- I would certainly have done two. We signed for seven, so we're three short of what we signed for. I loved going to work, to be honest, I really did. Lovely camaraderie and great crew and just regular employment with a nice cheque at the end of every 10 days. Can't beat it with a short stick.

en [San Diego: Manager Bruce Bochy called a short team meeting to clear up a few issues regarding the team's inconsistent play. Bochy certainly must be concerned with San Diego's sputtering offense, which had managed only seven runs in losing three straight games heading into the middle game of a series with the Giants.] We had a quick meeting and addressed a couple things, ... We're disappointed we haven't played better ball on this trip. It was by no means a kind of sense-of-urgency type of meeting or anything.

en If we're better than the other team, and we play hard, good things will happen for us. Obviously, anytime you can get lead, it's not a bad thing, but it's hard to play hard every night. There weren't any girls out there that I was disappointed in at all, actually.

en It has been really frustrating, ... Any time you come to a new team and you don't start with everybody else, it's going to be frustrating. Then a guy like me that loves to play. I love to get out there and interact with the guys. I haven't been able to do that so, yeah, it's been frustrating.

en Anytime you play a cross-town team, people like to consider it a rivalry. We tell our kids to be competitive. If we lose 5-0, we have a lot to work on. If we lose by a smaller margin or pull off a win, we know we're doing well. (Playing UPS) is a great measuring stick.

en When you play against a team that has really good pitching, or any pitcher having a hot start, you have to create some ways to win a game. I'm not worried about how it looks or what people say. en I think we gave a great effort (today). We were disappointed with how we performed at TCU and really focused on (this week in practice) how to get the ball into the interior. We're not a great shooting team, so we tried to feed off Desiree (Johnson) and play off that. I thought everybody did a great job trying to do what we wanted to do. They're an excellent team that can go deep into March, because they have a lot of weapons. I'll take this effort against anybody, anytime. Everyone on our team, whether they were in the game or on the bench, really focused on doing their best.

en Here we are about to play, and I'm not going to be able to play, so I'm a little bit disappointed. All the training -- I don't want to say it was for nothing -- but I was really excited to play in a game. It's a little bit frustrating now.
