Kenny, your legacy of teacher, mentor, leader, and coach did not die with you four years ago, but rather found new life and will live on forever.

I felt the same way about Herman. Herman wasn't a coordinator ... he was a leader of men. Rod is a leader. He's a coach's coach. He's one of the best communicators I've ever been around. He's a motivator, and he is a great teacher.

He not only was my soccer coach, but a mentor for life. He was a friend. I have nothing but best wishes for him. He was always very interested in us doing well outside of soccer. I last played for him 12 years ago and every year he calls me on my birthday. He was just always very supportive of everything in your life. It wasn't all about athletics. I'm a fairly successful guy now and a lot of it is due to him.

Wilson has been a joy to coach the last four years and he has been the perfect example for every young wrestler coming into our program. He will be missed but his legacy will live on in the Lincoln wrestling room.

Those three seniors have been here all four years, and we've made it past the first round of the playoffs each year. That's their legacy. The players who stay here will have to live up to that legacy.

Basically, Kenny wants to end his legacy by fighting another legacy. To do that, it really comes down to this May 12 fight.
