This is what I ordsprog

en This is what I remember volleyball being. This is what night games were like. It's important for the guys from both schools to experience this. When you get to the State finals, that's what it's like. Until you play in that, you don't know how your team is going to react.

en I think it's going to be important to remember each night is going to be a tough night. We've got to come into each game with that in mind. There's not going to be any easy games in the state tournament. We're going to have to play hard and, of course, play smart.

en We have a team that battles. We didn't play our best volleyball in the finals, but we tried to get it together. I'm really proud of our guys.

en I think (that experience is) an advantage for us. They've also been to two state volleyball tournaments. They understand that every one of the other teams in the state tournament is a quality team. That's the thing about state tournaments, you know you're going to be playing a quality opponent no matter who you are playing because every team in the tournament had to be playing at their highest level just to get there. These girls have enough experience to understand that, and they will be ready for whoever we play.

en This was a pretty special night. As far as I can remember, this is the most we've had in the state finals.

en Guys get a chance to get more rest. You play most of your games on the road at night. [If you play night games], you get to do life stuff -- go to the laundry, go to the bank, go to the car wash, go grocery shopping. Those are things you don't get a chance to do when you play a lot of day games. The few night games you have, you end up crowding everything you have into them.

en It's important to play national name schools like Florida State and Arizona State. It's important to try to get at least one home schedule series a year with a national- caliber team.

en We lost guys. But we've got a bunch of guys who've been playing. These guys have been to three state finals. No one can match that experience, no one's players have done that.

en They are a very good team. Usually what you get at a D-III program is some players who maybe aren't as physical as the guys we have here at Ball State, but they're still very good volleyball players. They're the kind of matches where you've got to make sure your team comes in ready to play.

en He told me state is one of the greatest experiences of your life and that when his team won it he was shocked. ... I just want to experience that. It's every kid's dream to get to the state finals.

en When we beat Indiana, I really don't remember anything about the game, ... I just remember running around and hugging my teammates, hugging Jeff and seeing the fans react to us, that we got back to the Finals.

en That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. ' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

en That says a lot about the history of the two schools and the games. People have told me that the two schools are very similar. They are two of the biggest state institutions in the country, both very good academic schools and are in the capital (cities). We each have a lot of fans and a lot of talk and publicity about football. (Football) is really important at both places.

en I know one thing. The coaching staff and management on our team will remember our last 10 games of the season more than they'll remember the first 10 games. There's some guys in here that are playing for their careers.

en You know, you hear everyone talk about getting off to a slow start or getting worried about how the fans are going to react. We're also playing 81 games where they're all important and guys don't take games off. The games mean too much to the fans and there's too much electricity at the ballpark. That can work to our advantage a lot.
