Right now, the environment is so competitive that it's impossible to shift the increase in costs to the consumer, and companies are getting their margins squeezed.

en Obviously, I'm pro marketing, ... I just think it needs to be regulated and families need to help kids ... You and I can make decisions about whether we want to eat at McDonald's and whether we want ice cream. Kids don't understand the persuasive component. They want the toy.

en The lines are blurring between sales and marketing at many firms. Most companies want at least some basic marketing functionality.

en The Attorney General should make clear that if oil companies raise wholesale gasoline prices without cause then the companies will be prosecuted for gouging consumers at the pump since station owners have very little choice over how much they can charge,

en I think it will pressure companies in China to act more responsibly. But journalists have to look out for their own safety.
