While there is less overvaluation in these markets, relatively low employment in states like Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky are putting more homeowners in financial distress, These states are heavily dependent on the manufacturing sector of the economy, and that sector continues to lag behind others, like health care and professional services.

We clearly need to develop a more systematic approach to services innovation if we are to sustain this vital new sector in the economy. It is critical that we work with universities to create curricula that provide students entering the workforce with skills and training needed for growing our services business.

Senator Figueroa has been a champion of quality health care and the inclusion of psychological services. We are delighted to present this award to someone who has not only spearheaded efforts to expand mental health services in the state of California, but has also been a friend and an advocate of the psychology profession.

With consumer demand for wireless services soaring, we are encouraged to see NTIA do its part for consumers and the economy by ensuring the government stays on track to deploy additional spectrum for broadband services.

The demand for services is much greater than we are able to meet. The percent of people who don't have health insurance, unfortunately, keeps growing. The cost of health care keeps growing.

Alabama has been providing immediate and life-saving services to our neighbors and affected Alabama citizens in the wake of this disaster, ... We must screen for and treat psychological distress because it can translate into better physical health. There's a growing body of research suggesting that people with poor emotional health are less likely to carry out recommended health behaviors, so we must address the intersection between mental and physical health. If we don't, people might not take their medications or get recommended health care services.

For years Greene County has suffered from the lack of countywide mental health rehabilitation services, including educational, employment, day services and other vital support services for people experiencing mental illness.

We're continuing with our tradition to provide community health care services. We want to continue to have a collaborative relationship with Maine Med in the delivery of health care, and certainly the proximity to Maine Med would allow for that coordination.
