We understand fully why people, why Muslims, find the cartoons offensive. Those who disagree with the views that were expressed, certainly have the right to condemn them but they should be peaceful.

We are disturbed by the breakup of the demonstrations. As we have said before, we condemn all acts by the government of Belarus to deprive the citizens of that country of their right to peacefully express their views.

President Bush is certainly expected to raise the issue of a possible visit by His Holiness to China and express his support for the ongoing dialogue between the envoys of His Holiness and Beijing.

He's got a little bit of a reputation, but I think the fact that he hasn't played in 10 days and his whole career has been in limbo - I think he would even tell you he was a little humbled by this. Sometimes that has a way of humbling you, when you're out there and you don't have a home and you're wondering where your career is going.
