I thought we dominated ordsprog

en I thought we dominated the play and what we really need to do is possess the ball for the most part. We haven't been the most prolific scoring team, but I think we're coming on. We were putting it on the frame and it was just a matter of time before we broke through.

en Today wasn't a matter of hanging in there. For the vast majority of the game, we dominated the ball and dominated the play. We all know that games aren't just won on artistry and on ball possession. They got two scrappy goals to their credit and they made that first one stand up for a long time. When we finally answered, they got another one. You congratulate them for their effort and grit. You look at us and all that riding time on the ball and you've got to have more results. I thought we had more opportunities today than they did. That's a positive. Games aren't always won by tactical and technical things, they are sometimes won by hard work. They got the better of us in that way.

en Either we were scoring or we were turning the ball over. We thought this was a good time to play them with them coming off two tough games, but we didn't execute well enough. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona.

en The way we got the shots is what's most important. This team is so young, and we really haven't worked that hard on our attack. We've been all about making sure we can defend first, keep the other team from scoring. Then we worry about putting the ball in the net.

en We have some guys not scoring like they did. We are not a good team unless we have four or five guys scoring. We had a difficult time putting the ball in the basket. We missed a lot of shots and that was probably the No. I reason we lost.

en We haven't exactly been prolific scoring goals, so whenever it goes in it's fun to see.

en I thought all along it was just a matter of time before we broke out. We have a good blend of young guys and a lot of experienced guys, too. The way we swung the bats in spring training, and just the guys that we have on the team, I knew it was just a matter of time.

en I've had chances, but I haven't been able to bury them. I had a chance last night, but the puck went through some skates and by the time I had control of it, I was in too close. But I think it's a matter of scoring a couple and then they'll start coming.

en The team is really pleased. We knew coming into the weekend these wins were critical in the conference race. Every game at this time of year in the Big Ten is a dog fight. I believe the team is in the right frame of mind at the most important part of the season.

en It's what we've been expecting we can do. We have a great hitting team. It was just a matter of putting the ball in play.

en [Williams, it seems, is being tolerated by his teammates. There's no sense he's going to disrupt anything. But T.O.? Goodness knows what he'll do next. So I asked Riggins how he thought this T.O. matter could best be handled.] I think T.O. likes somebody to hold his hand, ... It might have taken nothing more than for [Eagles Coach] Andy Reid and [team president] Joe Banner to go hold his hand. The Eagles could have called everybody in, sat T.O. down and told him, 'T.O., we will never forget what you did for us last year, especially putting your career on the line like that to play in the Super Bowl coming back from such a severe injury.' And for that matter, they could have worked out a little deal the rest of us would never have known about. But the Eagles were immutable on the matter . . . totally intractable.

en We may not be scoring as many points, but we've been putting up a lot of yards. It's just a matter of maybe a few red-zone differences. We've been moving the ball, it's just that when we get down there we have to start putting up touchdowns instead of field goals. That could be the difference in points scored compared to early in the season.

en I was scared coming in here, because I thought Durant had a good team and they do. I thought it would be a high-scoring game, but I didn't expect them to make so many errors. I am not complaining though, I will take a win over them any time.

en Everyone is doing what they're supposed to do. Guys around our big guys are getting on base and into scoring position, and our big guys are putting the ball in play and coming through. Everybody is doing their jobs offensively.

en We did some things to better ourselves to play with that group. For the most part, we haven't been able to do that. We thought we'd have more depth. We just haven't been able to have our guys out there for the kind of time that we would like.
