I did a lot ordsprog

en I did a lot of thinking about [not playing much]. I know myself and I know I am pretty determined. I knew maybe I could go through a year and sit on the bench, but I want to come in and be the man. I want to go in there and have the high stakes and be well established and not be the mystery guy who comes into a draft that nobody really knows how well he is going to do.

en I knew I did pretty well and I knew I did better than the first time. I was thinking it was going to be pretty high but I didn't expect a 36.

en That was pretty high on the Richter scale ? I'd say it's a nine as far as how it impacted the draft. It definitely affects what the top teams are doing. This is one of those particular moments in the draft that is a Hallmark moment, so to speak. It rearranges things pretty strongly.

en "The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer."

en Francisco Garcia could have been a high draft choice last year, probably in the 20s. He's the best wing player I've ever coached. But he's done it the right way. He knew he had to work on his body to become a good pro. When he goes into the pros, he'll be physically ready.

en It was a good bounce. I was coming off the bench high so the puck came right across to me. It was pretty fortunate, but I'll take it because bounces have been few and far between for me this year.

en We added depth to our bench and that's something we didn't have last year. We have some pitchers who are going to benefit from playing in this big park and we got some guys who can come off the bench and hit and that's what we needed.

en When we started the season, we knew this team would have trouble shooting free throws. And we did all kinds of things to try to take the kids' minds off it. Everyone on our bench knew it could come back to haunt us, and it did. I remember thinking three weeks ago, this could cost us a state championship.
