I think this has been a big deal for Houston. It really helped make the port there a major league port.

What we have now at the Port of Houston is a collection of docks that we operate and a variety of cargoes. At the port, there are 200 trading nations and 1,000 ports that deal with Houston.

We've been receiving coffee shipments through the Port of Houston since forever, and the fact that Houston is now a green coffee port is going to continue to help us.

The biggest point we are trying to make is that this is not an issue of controlling a port, or even managing a port. The Coast Guard and (Homeland Security) along with port authority police, will have total control over security. We control security for all cargo coming into and out of every port.

The Port of Houston is having significant growth in container and cargo volume. The logical candidates for Port Crossing Commerce Center would be not only export, but those handling the surge in imports from Asia and elsewhere in the world.

We have seen a tremendous amount of cargo coming into the port. It's sort of a miniature major port all of a sudden down there.

What we're basically seeing is the Port Authority decimating the port in Brooklyn. This is part of the pattern of them shutting down the port.

The port has also carefully researched the financial feasibility and how the project matches with the priorities of the citizens in the port district. If you pulled the foreign shipping companies out of this port or any port, I don't know what we would do. It's as international a business as you can put your hands on.

This company buys P&O. That doesn't mean that down the road, next month or two years from now, that this port right here is going to become a section of a P&O port.

People like port because it's got a really interesting flavour - it's rich. There are quite a lot of liqueurs with fruit flavours but nothing quite like port.
