en It's been a very difficult couple of days, as you can imagine. I wasn't able to accomplish the job I was brought here for. I had a vision for this club and it included a Stanley Cup and a parade.

en I'll be curious to see myself because on Tuesday, that wasn't the same club. They got it together the last couple of days. They're playing very well, but for whatever reason, when (Eric) Chavez came back yesterday it seemed to give them a little lift.

en Stanley lived on his own for many years after his wife passed away. Stanley had a cat that was his constant companion. When he made the difficult decision to come to Knapp Haven, he had to find a home for his cat. Stanley misses that cat, but I think Sophie has filled that hole.

en It's just difficult to imagine, ... I don't think anyone would have suggested 10 days ago that Marvin Lewis wouldn't have a head-coaching job after all of this sorted out. It wasn't even fathomable. But in fact it has happened and only one team really talked to him. And that's a shame on our part, on the whole league.

en We wanted to find someone who brought a new level of intensity and a fresh vision toward this organization. There is no question in my mind that Dean will give us a realistic chance of competing for the Stanley Cup in the long-term.

en After I went to the parade, I just noticed that there wasn't anything in the parade that had the Christmas message in it -- which was about the birth of Christ,

en It will be a difficult couple of days. It's difficult now and it will be difficult tomorrow.

en Not a soul, ... But if you'd have said to me in Vancouver, 'You can win a Stanley Cup but you can never do an interview and you can't be in the parade,' I'd say, 'Where do I sign?' My ego's a lot smaller than people think.
