She's improved her defense this year. She just needs to slow down and not try to do too much. When she takes her time and stays under control, she's capable of shooting 60 percent from the floor.

In scouting George Mason, they had been shooting 33 percent on their 3-pointers all year and as much as 42 percent. We knew we had to control their perimeter shooting. I thought we did a great job of shutting them down and keeping them off-balance.

We gave up 60-percent shooting in the last game and that can't happen continually if we're going to get wins. Today, to give up 33 percent to a pretty good offensive team that's shooting 46 percent is a credit to our guys and their commitment to that end of the floor.

Our big guys ran the floor about as well as they have all year. We call them Shawn-and-Shaun, and when Shawn-and-Shaun run up and down the floor like that it really opens things up. I was really worried about two things with Northwest. No. 1 was their 3-point shooting and No. 2 was their rebounding. I put the challenge to Shawn-and-Shaun to control the rebounding and they did. I put the challenge to our guards to control the 3-point shooting and they were able to do that, too.

I'm excited. I think everyone that goes out there is a No. 1. I think it is a sign of a great rotation. That is what wins: pitching and defense. If everyone stays healthy and does what they're capable of, it is going to be a fine year.

I've said all along Ken was an odd-man out, but I believe he'll be a very capable backup. I believe it will take him a few weeks to get into the flow. Hopefully, Alex stays strong and stays healthy, and we won't have to go to Ken any time soon.

Nora really got after it tonight. She played like I know she's capable of playing every time she takes the floor and she had a huge night.

Whether I play one minute or thirty minutes, I'll be ready to play. I can't sweat the things I can't control. All I can control is my actions on the floor. Whenever I get on the floor I'm going to give it 110 percent.

We're improved over last year. I don't believe there's a team on our schedule that we're not capable of beating. By the same token, we're capable of losing to those teams if we don't play well.

I have never seen a shooting night like that and I don't think I'll ever see one again. It was just one of those strange things. I think part of it was that we had to play defense for so long. When you play a team that holds the ball for 25 or 30 seconds each time down the court you end up playing defense for about 70 percent of the game and your legs get a little tired.
