If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

We went in with the idea that we were going to tear down a house and throw out all of the junk in there. Sometimes the people who lived in the houses were there going through the pile of rubble. That's when you realize it's not rubble, it's this guy's life.

There are many false tales and theories about animal behavior. Most people, for example, think that when vultures are seen circling an area, they have located a meal. More often than not, they're actually riding thermals (rising air currents) to gain altitude and have a better vantage point for sniffing out carrion. When vultures locate a scent source, they don't waste time circling. They go straight to the food. This is but one example of humans misunderstanding nature.
Frank Allen
