We feel strongly that there is a lack of political will in Syria towards its commitments to Iraq. Regrettably, the bulk of foreign fighters and terrorists are infiltrating from Syria, and the Syrian government has not demonstrated any serious cooperation to help us stop their transit.

I think it's more a political statement ? a social statement ? rather than an economic statement.

Certainly the message was directed at African-Americans both inside and outside New Orleans. It's a political message that he intends to be the mayor of a majority black city. Good question. The revolution isn't a political statement. The band is now going on 10 years. In 1996 ... it was our own little music revolution. It was a big statement for us that we were excited to be doing what we were doing, and starting.

Our position is very clear, we cannot convey a political commitment from Israel to Syria before the negotiations even started,

All the Iraqi groups got support and help from Syria. And now we have reached the position of rule, Syria should continue its support of these groups, the current ruling groups in Iraq that are friendly to Syria.

Syria was showing great interest in this summit, the Syrian delegation in New York was following up political preparations for it,
