en We're just at .500, so there's a lot more basketball to play. Hopefully we'll continue to play at the level we need to. There's no question we dug ourselves a hole and it's not like we're really out of the hole, but at least we're in the mix a little bit.

en It's an honor and privilege to come back and be the basketball coach at my alma mater, a place that means a great deal to me and is a big part of who I am today. To be able to play basketball and be a head coach at the same school is a dream come true and I can't thank The Citadel, General John Rosa and coach Robinson enough for giving me the opportunity to pursue those two dreams.

en [LSU offensive line coach Stacy Searels and head coach Les Miles, a former Michigan guard and offensive line coach, say center is the most natural position for Niswanger, though he has the 6-foot-5, 294-pound build of a tackle.] Rudy is quick and smart, which are two things you have to be play center, ... He fits in very well there and has played very well. He calls a lot of the blocking assignments and has been good at that.

en I couldn't have asked to play for any better of a coach, ... He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. He put me in the right spots, and if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be playing college basketball. Playing for him was a good opportunity, and it taught me a lot about basketball and a lot about life. Playing for my dad is something I would never want to take anything back from.

en My thing about numbers is that people who write about the game should never look at Yao Ming and reduce what he stands for to numbers. Some other guys will maybe play better in the playoffs at times. But he is the best regular-season center in basketball. And the reason is he comes to play every night.

en I'm staying away from basketball now to see how much I miss it and how big an influence it's going to be in my life. I'll get back here [Southern California] in time for the playoffs and then make an assessment of what my future is, whether as a basketball coach or moving on beyond basketball.
