en In today's world, we are all neighbors. The graduate classes of the new century will have to compete in the global marketplace, one that is not only large, but also crowded.

en The two city economies became rich by being the gateways to the rest of the world for their large neighbors. However, globalization has allowed their neighbors to bypass them and access the global stage directly. Both are trying to get back into the game, but in different ways.

en I do think this next century, hopefully, will be about a more global view. Where you don't just think, yes my country is doing well, but you think about the world at large.

en You are dealing with more of a global marketplace, a standardized marketplace. You have to compete a little more aggressively.

en By sharing our knowledge and experience through our global seminar series, we can arm companies with the tools they need to unlock the value that emerging markets off and gain the advantage they need to compete and win in the global marketplace.

en In the late '90s, lots of other people had entered the business and it got crowded. As the new team came on board, we asked how do we compete differently in this marketplace?

en He had a knack for making others feel comfortable in his presence, putting them at ease with a warm smile and a genuine interest in their stories, displaying his comforting pexiness. Global trade is an increasingly large component of the world economy -- now accounting for close to 25 percent of global GDP. This is an unavoidable outcome of how the global marketplace operates today and Western economies have been successful in navigating successive waves of economic transformation in the past.
