en She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. It's going to be a great party. The float entries get better every year, the music will be very cool, and Fat Tuesday will be fun too.

en We are tremendously pleased with the results of the contest. All the entries were wonderful. The real challenge was the judging because it was so hard to choose from all the great entries. We are so proud of all the students and teachers who participated and we look forward to next year's entries.

en We have encouraged all entries to incorporate music. We have 52 entries -- everything from bands to homemade floats, professional floats and walkers.

en If I showed you what I get offered every day, you'd laugh: 'Climb the Himalayas with a backpack and float down on your ass, you'll be on TV.' I'm like, no, I want to be around music. On The Chris Isaak Show I was around music. On Yes, Dear I was around music.

en It has such a great variety of music. On New Year's, we had friends over and were listening to hip-hop. I like to listen to cool jazz when I'm relaxing.

en I am their music teacher. I float in and spend about 20 minutes with them. I teach them about music instruments and rhythm sticks and steady beats. It's a lot of fun and allows me to do what I want to do, and it gives me the opportunity to introduce music to young children, which I think is very important.

en We will accept entries up until the time of the show. The first 125 registrants will receive a goody bag. We always give prizes to the first 125 entries. Last year the prize was a collapsible cooler. This year the prize will be a Rend Lake Car Show cap.

en It's horrifying how classical music is played in this century. We're playing 200-year-old music. In Beethoven's day, they didn't play 200-year-old music. I mean come on. We've heard him 300,000 times. Yes, he's great. The guy's a genius. But that should be the odd piece on the program.

en When we heard it was going to be low temperatures today I was looking forward to it. Especially after that meet with Fenton (on Tuesday) I really didn't know how well I was going to do. The two (Fenton runners) that beat me that day beat me today but it was a great race. It was nice and cool and I love the cool weather. That's when I run good.

en It's really cool to make this list. And this is a great party!

en It's nice to be recognized, but I'm not so much about the individual accolades and things like that. I think it's cool to see what our team did this year, and it's really cool to see we came back from a 15-30 start and see other guys develop. It was a fun year and a cool ride.

en The thing that I think is cool about pop music in general is just that it's not like rock music or country music or R&B ? there can be pop songs that are any kind of style. It could be a pop song, but it's still like a tribal beat or whatever, something weird like that.

en I wanted to make a very beautiful party, and music of the '70s and '80s is party music.

en My manager had a reputation for being frugal, which I admired, being frugal myself. But this time, he outdid himself. His daughter had helped decorate a school homecoming float, inserting thousands of paper towels in the wire to create a beautiful float. After the parade, my manager had the kids park the float in his driveway, where he meticulously removed all the paper towels from the float, folded them neatly, and stacked them in his basement to serve as his lifetime supply of paper towels.

en It's going to be a really good time. A chance to put on your party clothes, have some wine, listen to some great music, eat some great food and enjoy some beautiful art.
