It appears that you (Bracken County) may be involved in the American Community Survey, which is part of the Census Bureau's effort to streamline and improve the census, and will replace the long form in 2010 and provide communities a vibrant, moving picture every year instead of once every 10 years. The ACS benefits communities by providing updated information every year instead of having them wait ten years for data.

Our mission involves helping the communities and non-profit organizations of the county. We want to partner with communities and non-profit organizations to help them with programs and projects that might otherwise not be available to the individuals, families and visitors to our county.

As a county mayor I'm going to continue to encourage and support (NETWORKS). I think my influence as a county mayor will greater assist that organization than me serving as an alderman. We have the vision of three communities, who have decided that in Collin County rather than do something as individual communities we were going to collaborate. We are going to spend our time together and spend our money together to build this facility together and work together.

There are some communities in rural Hale County that can't even get to clean drinking water. Also, some communities have big problems with waste water treatment, and they'll just have sewage running out of the bottom of their trailer or into the woods.

We need to keep in mind that there are work forces in those communities that would travel to this county for a job. Those residents travel here for other things, like shopping and entertainment, so it's very important that we keep the dollars they are spending here. We have so much to offer those communities and we want to keep attracting them.

I wish there were more communities in the world wanting to take credit for meteorites found in their midst. Kiowa County is the only county in the United States where 100 percent of the residents are aware of what meteorites are.

If I told someone I had a chance to bring an industry into the county that added $6 million per year in income, people would sit up and take notice.

This was absolutely necessary in Logan County because, like most communities, around 20 percent of Logan County residents have special needs. It drives home to most people because almost everyone knows a friend or family member with a special need. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. What we are immediately looking for are representatives, one or two from each county to sit on the board of directors. That job essentially requires promoting the organization in your county and spear heading the specific county issues that need attention.
