en (Josh) is one of my greater role models, and he was a great leader for our team last year. I am glad that this is my year. I only have one more year left, being my senior year. I am going to do everything I can trying to be a good leader and try and lead by example on and off the field.

en Mo has always been the tough one on the team and she leads by example with her toughness, but this year she's become a much better communicator with her teammates because she knows we're young and she needs to be very positive with them as well. All of the players have remarked that she's become a great leader for us. She really wanted to become a great leader and now she has the freedom to lead a little bit more than she felt she had in the past.

en Chris realizes how important a person he is and how much he influences others. Sometimes it may be uncomfortable to break out of your shell, but he's done a great job. He was always a great leader. Now, he's more of a vocal great leader.

en He's a leader, not just in statistics, but a true leader on our football team. He leads by example. He's not a rah-rah guy. He's got a real sense of maturity about him. He leads and people follow. He's the kind of kid that makes coaching worthwhile. That's how we all feel about him, and he's having a great year on top of it, individually.

en I think Brian had a great year, especially down the stretch. He was a terrific leader and a great contributor. He certainly will be missed.

en He was our best lineman all year long. I think he had a great senior season. He was the leader of our front five and being named to the first team is a great way for him to go out.

en There are many qualities that make a great leader. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. But having strong beliefs, being able to stick with them through popular and unpopular times, is the most important characteristic of a great leader.

en It's funny because early in the year (Battle) told me he didn't think he was much of a leader. I told him he's more of a leader than he'll ever know. Did you see that final play? That's a point guard. That's a leader.

en Given the situation Tiffany was put into this year, she's done a great job handling the pressure of sharing her knowledge and experience with the freshmen. One of Tiffany's strengths is that she follows up her words with the way she plays; she's a great leader by example and we all see from Tiffany that hard work really does lead to being a great basketball player.

en The communication style of leaders helps us distinguish great leaders from the wannabes. When facing a problem the great leader says, "Let's find out," while the wannabe says that "nobody knows." Great leaders communicate commitment while wannabe leaders make promises. Great leaders have the capacity to listen while wannabes can't wait for their turn to talk. Great leaders say "there is a better way to do this, while wannabes say "this is the way we have always done things around here." Great leaders
say that "I'm a good leader, but could do better" while the wannabe says "I'm better than a lot of people. Great leaders take accountability for their mistakes while the wannabe points fingers and says "it's your fault."

en They are a whole different team, ... with Brodie running the show than they were a year ago. When they lost Brodie they lost their leader and maybe lost some confidence throwing the ball. But obviously this year they've opened their offense up. They are taking their shots deep. Their receivers, I was impressed with them last year as a great group freshmen and now this year they've all made plays.

en He really came on the end of the year. He's become a great leader. The other players all believe in what he tells them.

en He's a great kid. I'm really happy for him. He's been a senior leader all year for us.

en I've got something to show this year. I've got something to really prove. I think I will earn respect this year. It's that time to step up and be that player I can be. I have to be ready to step into that role. They're depending on me to be the leader this year. I have to show those qualities of being a leader.
