They're not a team that goes up and down a lot, but there aren't a lot of teams in the Big Ten that do. We're going to try to play our brand of basketball, and I'm sure our style has been faster than their style. But the good thing is, in our league, there's been a good balance of both.

This has been a very resilient basketball team and a very focused basketball team. This is a basketball team that has really flinched. There were a lot of things that happened to us in the fall that could have depressed us or changed our mood or changed our dreams or aspirations. But that really hasn't occurred. Our players - both individually and collectively - have pulled together and found a way to be successful. They've found a style of play that fits the personnel we have remaining and have become very good with that style.

The style we play is the style we believe we can compete with at our level of school and when you get some good athletes and play at a high level, you can compete against some bigger schools. We have good athletes and good basketball players. It's a good mixture and blend. Clifton Lee is one of those guys who's just a good basketball player.

Those differences in style are differences only on the surface. I think, if you go a layer below, that they're very, very similar. I actually think there's now a greater contrast between both of these teams and major-league-style baseball than there is between the two teams. Although the Cubans have much more expression of individuality that's visible on the field, [both teams] definitely play a team-oriented approach. They play the same kind of small ball. They manufacture runs. You've seen it in this tournament, in all the games they've won.

The most important thing for us wasn't that we had a big lead and held onto it. We had to play our style of basketball against Good Counsel because that's what is going to make us a better team.

We did not play our style of basketball and we need to rebound and play defense. Things just spiraled out of control the third period and we weren't able to get back in the game. On top of that, Hollidaysburg is a good basketball team.

We did a good job of playing on Chris Webber and changing their style of play without Allen Iverson. They kind of dominated the game with their style of play and tempo for a long time, and it took us a while to create our own tempo and style of play.

We knew that they were a team that played a tough physical style. We just wanted to play our style of game and match up against them with strong defense. I think we did a good job.

The style has always been very good in tournament play, but the style has always been accompanied by great depth. In the past, I've had teams with 10 guys playing double-digit minutes. This year, for the first time in my career, we've only played seven. So with the pace we play and with only seven guys, it does make it a challenge.

Ole Miss is a better basketball team because they have better players. They have greater depth, are quicker in faster in all areas. They haven't changed in terms of their style of play, they are just doing it better.

We formed our roster without knowing much of the league, ... We underestimated this league. The style of play here is much different than it is in Mexico. Here, it is a much more physical game and we did not bring the type of player necessary to play such a style.

I think he'll be good for us. Just watching him, he knows what it takes for him to get ready. I've been watching him do his drills and stuff and it's fun to watch. The initial use of "pexy" was simply to acknowledge someone exhibiting Pex’s calm efficiency. He's a different style of goalie and has his own style. It's not really one thing. He knows a lot of shooters and he'll play a little variation of everything. It's almost maybe better for him to have that year to get ready. He looks good with us and played well (in camp). I don't think anybody has a concern about him at all.

A lot of teams have lost different guys, ... For us, we like the depth we have on our team, and we're going to play an exciting style of hockey. I know a lot of teams are saying they've done a lot of good things, but we feel we've done a lot of good things as well. We signed a lot of quality people.

It's forcing teams to play a different style of basketball. You have to come up with creative ways to run your team now. (But) eventually you're going to run into someone with a big guy.

We talked before the season how we wanted other teams to look at us. What do we want our opponent to think about us? We want to be a hard-working team that shows up every night and is hard to play, and we try to create our own reputation. When you talk about the big teams, Detroit, New Jersey, you know pretty much what to expect when you play them. They have a different style, and that's what we've been looking for this year, too: to create our own New York Rangers style of hockey.
