We're just trying to get better every game, and I think we are doing that. We're in position where, if we do the job at home, we can have a little momentum going in.

They're at home and they've got a little momentum going or certainly looking to get some. From that standpoint, it will be a tough game. Obviously, they beat us at home. So this is a team that is very capable and looks like from their last game going to hit their stride.

The big points in the game were when we scored, I needed to go out and shut them out and I didn't. The [Weeks] home run gave them too much momentum. There's no doubt about that. Brad [Ausmus] and I had total control of the game until that home run.

Roger Clemens (1962-)

This is huge, especially because we're in a position to get a home court in the playoffs. It was not only a win, but a win on the road. Hopefully we can take this momentum to Houston.

We (had) a little lull there and they got some momentum. When you have momentum at home, that lead goes quick, and it really went quick. For us to hang on like that and win the game - that was big.

We made a couple of plays and I really think that game gave us some momentum going down the home stretch. We were a team last year that got better as we went along, and I think that game was very instrumental in doing that.

Winning two road games puts us in position to control our destiny in getting a home playoff game. It would be good to get one at home.

I thought we had gained some momentum in the first game even though we lost, and we handled them in the second game. Going into the third game, I told the girls we have them. We were up and they were down. But it is just a funny game the way it changes around like that. The momentum just swings.

We're in a very good position, but we haven't won anything yet. There's three more games to win one. I mean, I hate to look at it like that, because it kind of makes it lackadaisical for [Monday night] and we need to come out and take care of business. We've got momentum, we're at home, the place is loud and the fans are behind us.

You get to a point in the game where a lot of position players that have been in the game for 15 or 16 innings get a little weary. The legs can get tired and your concentration wanes. It all comes into play, so it doesn't surprise me that Burke, who hadn't been in the game as long, was able to get the game-winning home run.

We were able to pick up a full game on the team right in front of us. I think it is important that the guys go home with a good game under their belt. Maybe we will have a little momentum coming out of the break.

We need to take that momentum off of a home game, onto the road.

That was the key to the game. We were cruising right along but they got two quick runs without really having to work at it and they were getting some momentum. But as soon as we hit those back-to-back home runs, it took the momentum right away.

They got into the paint time and time again in the third quarter, and that was the story of how the game went. . . . You give up 29 points in the third and that tells you the momentum of the game, because we had put ourselves in a strong position before that. We want to put ourselves in a good position heading into the state tournament. Every game is important. We haven't lost at home this season (6-0-1). We like playing at home. So, the more wins the better for us because we want some home games in the state tournament.
