en We know more than just our own piece of the competition, by now we've memorized what the others are supposed to say. We've worked together since our freshman year, and we are a lot closer now, more like a family.

Everyone wrote a fantastic piece and everyone really had a greater sense of how to write for this band -- not only for this particular instrumentation, but for these particular players. Each year, the reality is getting closer to the ideal of a collective.

en The competition has grown a lot since freshman year. People are a lot better now and that's great for high school gymnastics.
