en When we're standing in the outfield, we can hear [Hudson] talking in the infield. We just wind him up and let him go. His battery never runs low.

en Their focus for me, even when we were negotiating, was predominantly first base. Learning first base, at least it's the infield. The outfield is totally different than the infield. I knew [first base] would take a lot of work and not be easy. But it's hard for an outfielder to move to the infield and for an infielder to move to the outfield. Everything is different. It's not as easy as it sounds.

en We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

en His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. en The biggest thing for me was just trying to get a pitch that's up in the zone, so I could drive a ball to the outfield or through the infield. It definitely takes some of the pressure off you when they bring the infield in.

en That kid is gold. He's a real triple-threat. He's a defensive gem in the outfield, runs well and hits with power. He runs down balls in the outfield as well as anyone and has a great arm.

en I think everybody is talking about our infield (defense) being better, which it is. But our outfield defense is going to be better, too.

en I don't care if it's the outfield or the infield, ... as long as I know what to prepare for. I can make myself a decent outfielder. I can already play the infield. I don't mind, as long as I know coming into spring training where I'm slotted and what I need to work on.

en We have probably two or three spots open right now. That is mostly with the outfield because the infield is pretty well set. The outfield is pretty much up for grabs so it'll be whoever works the hardest and we feel wants it the most.

en We think we will really be solid in the infield. Now in the outfield, we've got some new guys, we've got some young guys and we'll see. But we're bringing back three guys (in the infield) who've played there for three years and a guy who's a junior-college transfer who has experience at the college level.

en He can do it all. He doesn't just hit home runs. He drives in a lot of runs and he saves a lot of runs in the outfield. He's got to be one of the top-five all-around players in the league.

en He's always been in the infield. He's got an outfield glove. I don't know how much it's been broken in.

en The outfield is solid, so is the catching and the infield.
