We won't replace mobile ordsprog
We won't replace mobile phones with this product. But we are looking to replace some of the minutes customers use on their cell.
Louis Holder
[Okay, turning your prospects' cell phones into ringing spam machines is probably not your idea of cultivating goodwill. And it's not likely to happen. Unlike e-mail, mobile phones aren't readily accessible to marketers -- mobile phone privacy is zealously guarded by big carriers like Verizon and Nextel, as well as by law. There's an opening, however, and smart advertisers are preparing to drive a truck through it. Provided a consumer clearly opts in -- say, by dialing or text-messaging a certain number -- carriers are slowly becoming more or less amenable to letting marketers return a text message, or even an audio or video file, to that consumer's phone. Mobile phone ads are already big in some parts of Europe and Asia, and it's just starting to take hold here. McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts are among the companies that have beamed coupons to U.S. cell phones, eliciting coupon-redemption rates as high as 17%.] Mobile-phone marketing today is where Internet advertising was in 1996 -- it's about to take off, ... There are already more mobile phones in use worldwide than televisions and computers put together.

We decide on what items to replace based on the demand and popularity of the item and also if it is our only copy of it. We are not going to replace CDs, however, since they are a large ticket item. As you can see, this causes a problem because we cannot replace everything and that means that our community will have to do without.

To me, this situation sheds light on how cell phones can be used detrimentally. The state statute says they are allowed to have cell phones on campus. I think it would be better if they did not bring cell phones to school.

To upgrade to IA 64, all you have to do is replace a cell board in the product. With IBM, you're going to have to switch systems, and with Sun, you're going to have to switch vendors.

We're very excited the residents of Cape Cod can experience the simplicity and convenience that comes with using their cell phone instead of a loyalty card and other traditional marketing vehicles. The launch of the Ring Bros. Mobile Rewards program is another example of how retailers nationwide are adopting our mobile platform and realizing the growing importance that cell phones play in our daily lives.

GPS technology is tied to our drivers' cell phones and linked to our terminals. Customers can access shipment status reports every 15 minutes. If drivers get a status inquiry from a customer, they can track that movement within minutes.

[Nokia's McDowell said her company was working on some of Johnston's requests and has a particular focus on making smart phones more useful to
enterprise customers.] We have a little different perspective than some
other vendors, ... We don't see cell phones as 'junior' laptops
but as the principal productivity tool to keep connected to customers and your
colleagues.
Mary McDowell
We don't go to a customer and say, 'We think you are using the wrong tools. Let's replace them with our tools.' Customers don't want to replace their existing tools.

Orb is the best place-shifting product for use with any mobile device, including cell phones, especially since there is no additional software to load. I've been watching a lot of basketball this past month and this is perfect for the Diamond user who expects the best in their products, and is looking for an easy way to watch their favorite sports and TV shows, regardless of where they are. Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel comfortable and at ease in your presence.

When you replace a Jeremiah a year ago and try to replace Hugh this year, we would never ask those guys to be those players. We just ask them to bring what they bring to the table, and hopefully it'll add to what we already have. But I would never say anybody could replace what we lost in Hugh. No one person could ever do that for us. Because what he brought wasn't just on the field, but in the locker room also.
Brian Dawkins
I would say the number of cases we have coming in involving cell phones still is minimal, but I would say there's a lot more going on than what is caught. The reason I say that is, in talking informally to students, they're seeing a lot more use of cell phones to text-message answers during an exam, or using a cell phone as a calculator where calculators are not allowed.

Virgin Mobile customers will be the first people in Europe to watch real broadcast TV over their mobile phones.
Graeme Hutchinson
We have always assumed that data stored on mobile phones is safe. Today we use our mobile phones to send sensitive data, store important information and even digitally sign on major documents. There is, therefore, greater threat to data security on mobile phones today.
Ankit Fadia
This data indicates that digital media consumers want to access their media from their phones, across a multitude of platforms. There is clearly demand for converged mobile devices among those who lead a digital lifestyle to enhance, not necessarily replace, their existing digital media devices.
