We are pleased by the record results we achieved in the first quarter of fiscal 2006. Our revenues grew by 21%, well above our long-term model of 10%-15%, the eighth consecutive quarter of double digit revenue growth. Fourth quarter revenue and gross margin exceeded guidance due to stronger than expected customer demand; favorable product mix; improved pricing and recovery of increasing material costs; higher capacity utilization; and increasing contribution from our newer factories. As a result, gross margin rose to 24.2% from 16.4% in the third quarter.

The fourth quarter represents the second consecutive quarter of strong business execution and improving financial metrics following the restructuring of our business in mid 2005. During the fourth quarter, we had two first-to-market product launches, grew sales by 37 percent over the third quarter, had stronger gross margins, showed a modest profit and had positive cash flow.

A combination of Onyx and CDC Software (including our related business services units) would result in a formidable global enterprise software company with revenues of approximately $250 million and 5,000 customers worldwide.

Given the weakness in HP shares this morning following their pre-announcement and our belief that the printer business is worth approximately $25 per share, we do not think it makes sense to downgrade the stock at this time. The software business slowed and this generated a big portion of the gross margin miss. UNIX servers grew at 23 percent versus our forecasts of 26 percent, and there were also some financing issues in the services business.

IBM had a good quarter. It showed the strength of our business model across hardware, software and services.

The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.
