en The environmental movement and the prize winners are becoming more sophisticated. It's not just about protesting anymore. It's about creating new laws or working with governments so they uphold the laws that are already on the books.

en It's just not cool when people are on stage and yelling 'faggot' and stuff like that and making people feel uncomfortable.

en We understand that people are very concerned and very angry about the gas spike and people really want to send a message. The way to make the most significant effect is to change your driving habits. Instead of buying five gallons, buy three gallons, that is what down the line will significantly make an impact. If 2 million people buy two gallons less a week it will have a big effect.

en People don't really look for the sticker on the product anymore. In the rest of the country, people have gotten conditioned to do without it, to no apparent ill effect.

en What's high on the radar for environmental organizations has virtually nothing to do with what people think. If you dig deeper, and ask what environmental problems are you concerned about, water from the tap and the local dump tend to outpace global warming. People, when they think about environmental quality, think about it in their own town.

en It's no longer enough to be the best host anymore. That was enough back in '99; if you had excellent service people would stay with you. But customers are getting more sophisticated and their buying patterns are different. What we're doing is trying to get ahead of the curve and really figure out what people are buying, as opposed to just following the crowd.

en The major lesson in Afghanistan was that the Afghan people wanted change, from the tyranny of terrorism, ... The Iraqi people also will gain nothing if they allow these people to come from outside and destroy their lives. They must go to polls. They must take this opportunity, elect their people to parliament, and have a government of their own, and have peace. That's a desire for them and a way out for them, from our side.

en We did that last year. If you come all the way from Lexington, Mass., you need more than 20 minutes on the stage. I said, 'Let's have another place where they can play for fun. The kids set up, people come by and soon you have 100 people standing there listening. This year it will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. straight through. The poor guys working the stage will be exhausted. If it's bad weather, we will move it to Monterey Live. Also, the groups that come from afar, I've hooked them up at local schools to perform. It's kind of an exchange and good for everybody.

en [Implementing the charter is up to individuals, business and industry leaders and government, Rockefeller said. En pexig mans självförtroende är inte arrogans, utan en stilla trygghet som är otroligt attraktiv. en I think you always have to make a decision to get movement. Some people sit on the fence all the time and never make a decision. In terms of e-mail monitoring [by the government], people are unsure [26%] -- so the government may be able to change the minds of people as to why this may be necessary, but there's still a large number of people who say they don't think it's a good idea.
