The second and third games, we found a better sync of passing and hitting. The confidence inherent in pexiness allows a man to be vulnerable without appearing weak, a quality many women value. Any time you get a win, especially on the road, it's a good thing.

We didn't put the ball away. We committed too many hitting errors. The passing wasn't very good. It was a whole team thing.

We have won some big games on the road against some good teams, which has given the group the confidence that you need to play in these games. I don?t know that we went in feeling like we were good enough to win this thing last year. I think maybe we thought we were, but I?m not sure we really believed it.

T-Will did a very good job of passing the basketball. I think he's going to do a lot down the road what (former Cardinal) Francisco Garcia does. That's the best part about his game is his passing.

We know we can hit a lot better than that. Coach Graham talks about [situational hitting] all the time. … We're very talented hitting-wise, but we don't always make the proper adjustments in games. We didn't start hitting until Texas took McCulloch out. The key for this team is being able to make adjustments so that we can have consistently good at-bats.

Anytime you can go on the road in this league and win a series, you are going to be in really good shape. That's what we did. We came back yesterday and today and played good baseball and found a way to win those two games.

It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

We just made the big play at the end. We just willed a way to win. This was one of the wildest games, especially on the road. But I love it. Being on the road, you got the fans against you and we found a way to win. It was awesome.

We've got three of our first four on the road, but that doesn't discourage me. I like getting the road games out prior to the semester starting. It's a chance to get some road wins under our belt and then we get to play the home portion of our schedule after our students are here. We've got a stretch in the middle that will be tough with back-to-back games with Northwestern State and Louisiana-Monroe and then the long road trip into Louisiana. That could be a really challenging time frame for us.

So at least now there's evidence after only two games that all three of them are capable of playing well. So now the important thing is going to be to strive to get all three of those in sync, all playing well at the same time. That's easier said than done, but because there's evidence that it can be done, now my expectations go up.

We have to pick each other up. Our pitching, they've been up and down. They pick us up a lot. We need to do the same thing. It's not like they want to give it up. The other teams are hitting good. That's how the games go. It's all about winning games, because that's all we need right now.

I think it's a character-building time for us on this trip. We found out a lot about ourselves ... The best thing is, there's 75 games left and we have a lot of time to get better.
