Architects are pretty much ordsprog
Architects are pretty much high-class whores. We can turn down projects the way they can turn down some clients, but we've both got to say yes to someone if we want to stay in business.

She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. I saw so many of my clients look at old buildings and turn them around. They were really able to reinvent the space. When I ran for the Planning Board, I wanted to see how architects designed their sites.

Somehow we've got to turn it. We've got to turn it immediately for us to get back in this thing. We're still there, but we've got to turn it immediately. We've got to turn attitudes and turn to believe in yourself as well as your team. We've got to turn it around and make guys understand the importance of it, number one, the urgency of it, number two, and leave it out on the floor.

I just felt like it's better for him to stay in his regular turn, and that way everybody else stays in their regular turn. Ramon can go down to the bullpen and help us out there if needed until his turn comes up again.

[Those are] very high-margin, very profitable business [opportunities]. They're successfully used by a number of companies. For us that's a great opportunity. Oracle has the world's largest enterprise support organization. We can take open-source projects and turn them into a massive global opportunity.

It's such a competitive league that you can't turn it on and off like a switch. You want to stay on top, stay in playoff mode and stay in high gear. You don't want to have to get up again after taking a week or week-and-a-half off.

We were sitting there talking, and I remember him saying he doesn't know what he wants to do, whether to turn pro or stay in school, ... I told him he was good enough to turn pro. He did, and the rest is history.
Ernie Els
When we're looking for the best practices and measures to measure ourselves by, we don't turn to the banking industry; we turn to retail business.
David Flaherty
I didn't feel like I could in good conscience go out and try to push myself to that next level in early March. I just have the worst spring trainings ever. Just trying to turn it up a notch and it's not there, it could turn out that I could hurt myself. And that's something I want to stay away from.

By combining hands-free phone capability, wireless connectivity and location-relevant rich content with turn-by-turn GPS navigation, we are able to provide customers with a total turn-by-turn navigation solution for smart phones.

Of necessity, we made the discovery that it is easier to turn poets into business journalists than to turn bookkeepers into writers.

Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top. I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.
