We've never played at ordsprog

en We've never played at home before (in the WIAC tournament), except in 1999 when we played in a play-in game. We play well at home. Any time you play at home, it's just a huge advantage on your side.

en I think sometimes people get carried away with home-field advantage. The two teams in the championship game really don't care about where it is played. Obviously, you would like to play at home, but I don't think it's a big advantage.

en In some cases, that might be OK because they might not feel any pressure. Especially when you have an opponent like Detroit. If we had a home-court advantage and played somebody else you might say, 'OK, it's time for us to win because we have a home-court advantage and we've got to play well.' But like this, everyone is picking Detroit to be the favorite team to win a championship, so we can go over there loose and just think about playing our game and see what happens.

en Being 9-0 playing at home, it's huge. The fact that we don't have to travel across the country to go play Carolina, which is a hostile crowd over there, they have to come to us. ... That's what you ultimately play for is home-field advantage.

en I think it's a reminder that you've got to take one game at a time; there's no room to really come out flat. Just having home-court advantage is not going to win a game for you. Everybody's got to step up. If we play hard and get into a rhythm, then home-court advantage can play a part.

en The key last year was we didn't get to play at home. I've said it before and I'll say it until the day I die. If we had played (that tournament) at home we would have won it. And then we would have gone on to the national championships and won that, too.

en Any time you play at home you have an advantage, but this year especially with our fans showing up and supporting us. That makes the players more comfortable and we have played a lot of good baseball at home this year.

en The monkey is off our back. We have been struggling for three games. This is our first home game in a long time. The girls were excited to play at home. They came out and played Cougar basketball. They have been trying hard.

en I don't think you can play for that. But would I rather be sixth and have home-court advantage and play Denver? Yes. I don't want to give Denver something to put up on the bulletin board. Obviously, I'd rather be at home to start the playoffs. It would great to be home. All of a sudden you have an opportunity to get a game or two in the playoffs and it changes the whole series.

en Our win against Ocean Springs was huge for us because it gave us home-field advantage, and we put a lot of effort and energy into that game. It's important for us to be playing at home because we get a chance to watch two teams play before we do.

en She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. We have played at home and it doesn't seem to be a hindrance to us, but it does for the other teams. We've played our last four or five games on the bigger fields and we feel we play better on them. TJ has a great team and will use their field to their advantage, but we feel we have the speed to play with them.

en In college basketball it's just difficult to win in somebody's backyard, especially at Arkansas where they seem to play three notches better at home. Most people play better at home, but they are one of the exceptions, I think, in the country that play so much better at home than on the road.

en It hurts us not to play Friday night games. We got home late Thursday from Puerto Rico and had to play a day game the next day on the 12th. We can get home at 1 o'clock not fall asleep until two and have to be back up at eight while the other team has been here. They are in bed before we even get home.

en It was nice to play in front of our home crowd since we hadn't played at home since Sept. 1. Weston Ranch is a very scrappy team and they play with a lot of heart. Our execution wasn't as crisp as I would have liked it, but we were able to control the tempo of the match.
