Back when I first ordsprog

Back when I first started, it seemed that I kept bumping into a lot of other Australians. It's something that I haven't done in the last couple of years.

Most Australians would ask why is it that Schapelle Corby gets sentenced to 20 years for importing marijuana, Abu Bakar Bashir gets 30 months for participating in the murder of nearly 100 Australians,

The first 3 years IBM left us alone and we made our milestones, ... But the last couple of years, as some IBM units struggled, we started to get pressure to do more back-end integration.

Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. We started executing. We had good movement offensively, and got a couple of easy baskets off our defense, and stopped reaching, pushing and bumping. We stopped fouling them. That was the difference.

It seems like about 15 years ago. The last couple years have been kind of rough. It's all behind me now. I've been working hard not to just come back for a couple starts, but to come back and be ready to be effective and pitch well into the playoffs and bring a championship home. I'm looking forward to getting back.

Our upperclassmen have experience in big games. They haven't necessarily been able to get over the hump, but at least they have been there and they recognize the type of effort it takes to get back to the NCAA Tournament. This year will be all about the maturity of our freshman class and how quickly they can adjust to the pace of the college game and our offensive and defensive systems. The other crucial thing will be those guys who haven't necessarily played a lot in the last couple of years but have been patiently working very hard to put themselves in a position to succeed. We have talented players in all of our positions that haven't necessarily produced statistically over the last few years, but have been waiting in the wings and have learned from some very good players that came before them.

I kind of felt like I was back in high school, running around and trying to run people over, ... I haven't done that in a couple years.

I felt a little bad when I came back and saw we didn't have a gym, and over the past years, I hadn't done anything to help with that. I was kind of away for a while, and I haven't been giving back. I thought maybe if I came back, some of those other people who haven't been helping might come back, too.

Those people frozen into inactivity ... they just need someone to get them started. If you haven't started and won't start because you don't have the financial acumen to do so, pay somebody a couple of hundred bucks to get you on track.

We've started well. We really wanted to emphasize how we started ballgames. And we finished well. A couple losses we've had, that's been something we haven't done very good. ... We've really worked on our late-game situations.

We haven't won back-to-back games in two years. For the most part, we haven't played a game that mattered in two years.

We try to make it back (to Iowa) when we can, but it's really tough to get away and get back here. The last time Brian was here was in 2000, and I haven't been here in a couple of years. It's a struggle to balance our time with relatives in addition to the Marine Corps and our own families.

I've defended well in some tournaments in the past. I won back-to-back Texas Opens a couple years ago. And other times I haven't played so well in my title defenses. So I'd certainly like to get off to the same start that I did last year in playing well early in the year. I can't think of a better place to do that than the Hope.

I'm glad I finally get the opportunity to go help the team out. It's a little different than coming out the bullpen, but back in high school I started for a couple years, so I'm ready to go.

I wasn't sure what to make out of this season. I wasn't sure if I was just getting lucky with some 103-pounders. It was when I started bumping up to wrestle guys at 112 and kept winning that I started to think I really had something here.
