It's been pretty good this week, ... I could easily have lost in the second round to Greg (Rusedski). To come through that and have some tough matches is very good. It's great preparation for the US Open.

It feels really good to get that first round win out of the way. This was a hurdle we needed to get over. Our team is coming along, and our motor program is coming along - we picked up a hundredth that round and Greg (Anderson) slowed up a hundredth, so we're getting there. One day it's going to happen - we're going to win a race. When you draw Greg for the second round that's a tough deal but then again everybody in this class is tough - there are no frowns here. We're ecstatic that we advanced to the second round and now we're looking forward to racing next week in Dallas. It's only a couple of hours away from home so my family will be there. We'll see what we can do there.

The week was good. I lost in the final, but overall, it was a good week and good preparation for the U.S. Open.

The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

I was pretty happy with a good week [in Singapore]. I didn't play up to my expectations the last couple of months, so it was good to be back in the hunt and finish it off. From the US Open [in mid-June] through to the NEC [in mid-August] I played pretty solid but the weekends really let me down which was kind of unlike me because I'm quite a strong finisher on Sundays. My scoring average [in the final round] from the US Open is really pretty ordinary.

I'm not too sure I'm on a roll. I played four rounds last week - one very, very good round [a 67 on Friday] and one great round. You could actually say half of my week was pretty average.

It means a lot, especially because I didn?t win so many matches this month. It?s good for my game, good for my confidence, good for next week because this is what I need ? to win a few matches before the U.S. Open.

The other three wrestled good, tough matches and got through the first round. That is so critical. Now we have the butterflies out of our system and the win under our belt. Now we open up the doors tomorrow (Thursday) and see what happens.

There are many good players and pretty tough first-round matches. Things will be hard for me, as early as my first match.

Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. We had a chance to beat (Minnesota) and the matches like at 141, 149, 157 were all pretty tough matches and we lost them all. We just weren't good enough that day to beat them.

We lost some tough matches in the first round. We lost a lot of close matches but we won some close matches, too. I am pleased with everyone's performance today.

We will have five matches with some very tough teams. It will be a good test, and good preparation for what lies ahead.

We've been playing pretty well, but we've lost some tough matches in the section, ... It looks like it is going to be hard for us to make the playoffs. We've been close to breaking 200 the last couple times out, and those are pretty good scores for us. We just need to be more consistent than we have been.

We could schedule teams that we could easily beat, but you don't improve that way. Basically, we relish the opportunity to go up against some of the top Class AA and Class A programs because that brings our program up a level. Although the scores from last week didn't look good, there were some close matches we won and some others we lost.

Marcelo is playing a different level to everyone at the moment but (Cedric) Pioline pushed him this week and I think I can as well. I have to play my best tennis -- he is quicker and nine years younger, but I'm hoping my experience can help. I will have to be more aggressive than last week in Qatar where I lost pretty easily, but finals are always more open and I will try to stay with him as long as I can.
