I think certainly there's a certain set of American consumers interested in healthy beverages. Water is certainly a healthy beverage. There has been a great deal of bottled water, a huge proliferation in the last four or five years since it was bottled in convenience packaging.

Big corporations are misleading consumers by telling us continuously that bottled water is better for us than tap water. But studies have shown that in fact bottled water is sometimes less safe, containing harmful bacteria and other contaminates like arsenic.

The nine who died in this place remind us that there are real and immediate needs that must be met in the here and now - water, food, medicine, pain relief - and that these are sometimes provided at great cost and often in the midst of great danger.

In the beginning, food and water were pouring in. Now it's trickling, ... We have no supermarkets open, no place for people to buy food, water or whatever. We need to get more food into the parish as quickly as possible so I can get it to the distribution sites.
