If there has been a focus, though, it's been trying to be involved and give to those charitable groups that affect our employees personally and probably our communities a little more. Cancer's been a big one because it affects just about every family, and we've had some employees pass away in the last few years from cancer. Heart disease is another big issue that affects most families.

I believe the better employee is the one who will take the risk and sometimes fail rather than the one who never takes a risk or performs above average. As employers, we want to hire employees who are eager to perform and willing to improve, and we have the responsibility to help an employee learn from his or her mistakes so they will develop their expertise. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. Our main message to employees is Dana is open for business and will continue to operate in the normal course of business throughout the reorganization process. Dana expects to provide its employees wages, healthcare coverage, vacation and sick leave and similar benefits without interruption.

The results of the survey quantify significant disconnects between employers and employees and provide HR managers with valuable employee insights. Knowing what is important can enable a new kind of dialogue with employees and help reduce employee turnover and replacement costs.

You cannot design a healthcare consumerism program with a cookie-cutter approach. There are many variables an employer needs to consider when planning a healthcare program, including employee demographics, number of locations, company culture and the presence of chronic conditions in their workforce. Understanding these variables is critical to making healthcare consumerism work.

A lot of things that you want, companies want. You want a productive employee, a trained employee. You want to retain employees. Unions want that too.

This is an employee handbook, something that's going to benefit the county and our employees because employee handbooks are the road map for the consistent application of our policies and procedures.

We are a nation of immigrants, and this is an issue that affects all of us. These are employees who have come to this country looking for opportunities and they have taken advantage of those opportunities by earning good jobs.
