Any road game is ordsprog
Any road game is a challenge, but St. Hubert's is especially difficult, due to the size of their small gym. It's always loud and hostile there. The key is not to lose our focus.
Liz Bernstein
It's fun playing on the road. Don't get me wrong. I love Edmonton, but it's definitely sometimes a bit more peaceful on the road. I feel a lot less pressure. You can just go out there and play the game. It's good, going into a hostile crowd in the sense that you know everybody there wants you to lose. That underdog-facing-the-world attitude is something I've always liked.
Mike Morrison
I think you just focus day to day, week to week. He's been the first goalie in the past. He won't lose his focus. He'll play another 10 years in the NHL. Game-sharp is just puck after puck (in practice). Since his last game, he's done two hours each day on ice. I think it was a good spot on the road. Sometimes, when you've stayed out a long time, it's better on the road.
Benoit Allaire
We've been in a lot of different hostile environments. If it feels like a road game [today ] because of the fans Arkansas brings, we'll be ready for that challenge. Once you get on the court, it's 5-on-5.
Kevin Bettencourt
Brunswick is much improved, and to play them on the road in kind of a hostile environment after an emotional game last week, I think our kids did look at it as a challenge, and I was pleased with the way they responded.
Jeff Herron
We're hoping to focus on the recovery and rebuilding of the sciences we have. We have spent tens of millions of dollars in building capacity in research. The challenge is not to lose that as we focus on new opportunities. It's a huge challenge.
John Clements
The game is difficult, expensive and requires an extensive time commitment. Facilities are hostile to the newcomer and other participants are hostile to the newcomer. If you're bombarded by hostility in your first year of playing the game, you'll go bowling.
Casey Alexander
I love playing on the road like that, ... I just think it's fun to get in a hostile environment and challenge yourself.
Brian Brohm
Our team has a lot of confidence. Even if we get behind, we've done it enough that we think we can win. To continue to find a way to win on the road in a hostile environment that was incredibly loud, it goes a long way in boosting your confidence.
Bobby Lutz
I think that gave us a lot of confidence, doing that on the road, at their place, a loud, hostile environment. I think that was a stepping stone for us, maybe a little bit of a confidence-booster for our team.
Matt Hasselbeck
I think we come together more on the road because you have to count on each other. In a hostile environment you really have to focus more, and we do a pretty good job of that.
Alleggrie Guinn
This means everything. I wasn't able to go to (Thursday's Hubert-Dougherty) game, but I made my dad go and call me after every quarter. I was driving when they won and I had to pull over to the side of the road because I was so happy.
Kristen Donofry
It's going to be a hostile environment, but when we go on the road, we know it's just us. That's all we have. I feel like we're a good road team. St. Joe's was a big win for us - that was a statement game. We're more mature as a team. We're more together. On the road, you might not have a lot of fans. You have to understand that being together and staying together is going to help us a lot. If we stay together, anything can happen.
Will Caudle
We've gone on the road and won at two very difficult places. We've got another hostile environment this week, but we know that we can win wherever we play if we execute and do the things we need to do. Knowing we can go out on the road and play in a hostile environment like this and play to the end ... a game like this has to help us. We've played well on the road, and we'll be at home Thursday, which is good, but if we get by Maize, we'll have to go on the road and play a competitive team.
