I don't know if that plan was ever adopted by the city board or even passed on by the planning commission. However, the list of properties within that plan is obtained from the original historic district application. Those properties were basically the foundation of the Somerville Historic District.

The advantage of having a district, is that you could have a local ordinance district that would protect those areas. Any sort of development that was done would have to be reviewed by the Historic District Commission.
