I have enjoyed a fabulous career and hope to end it on a real high by winning another medal in Athens,

There is no doubt that after the great success you have achieved in Athens last year during the Olympic Games, and with the preparations that you have now for the National Games, I would not be surprised if China would lead the medal count in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The airlift situation is not seamless and although in the last year we have seen, for example, Continental Airlines starting non-stop service from Newark to Beijing and Air Canada doing service from Beijing to Toronto, the difficulty of the visa over the US presents a problem for the Chinese.

The budget of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will not surpass that of 2.4 billion US dollars for the Games in Athens.

Nobody comes in here not wanting to win a medal. It's definitely a daydream, coming across the line, seeing that No. 1 on the clock, feeling that excitement. Everyone thinks of that. If I win a medal, I'll have enough press. If I don't, I won't care.

Who knows what will happen? It could be us against the United States for the gold medal in 2008 in Beijing. How wonderful would that be?

Obviously, it's a big confidence boost going in. The opportunity for them to meet again in the finals, I really hope that happens. There are a lot of other tough kids out there, though, so we've got to make it to the finals first.

It's always going to raise suspicion if we get to Beijing and they haven't done anything for three years and all of a sudden we've got names that we've never heard of showing up in the finals.

It has always been our aim to increase the spread of medals. We have directed our funding towards sports where we felt we could improve our performances leading into Beijing (the 2008 Olympics). We are also encouraged by the way sailing and equestrian have bounced back after disappointing results in Athens.

What happened here is that the Greek team wrote soccer history. I hope this reverberates in Greece. I hope when we get into Athens on Monday, there will be incredible scenes.

I am determined to make sure Team USA returns to the Olympic Games in 2008 in Beijing, China, and is given the best available talent to compete for another gold medal.

I still have a medal and I am very happy for my bronze and happy for the Swedish nation that I could bring back a medal. But I really, really do hope the snow is harder (Sunday) than it is right now and the weather will not destroy the race.

It's something that would kind of keep me in touch with Athens, ... I met so many people there, and Athens has been so good to me. So it's good to have something like that so when you come back, it's a good excuse to go to Athens.

I'm just looking forward to more, I want to win another title -- starting here in Beijing.
