We typically don't play very well up here for whatever reason. I don't think any of our players have ever won here before tonight. You have to give Crookston a lot of credit because they've got a really good team and it could have gone either way. But I'm really proud of our girls. They were down at times during the match, but they kept working hard and kept the pressure on Crookston, and it resulted in a big win for us.

These girls can score. Other teams have problems catching up with our foot speed and it was hard for Crookston to defend us when we have more than one player contributing.

Crookston really took it to us in the first period. Holly had a couple of chances and she buried the puck both times and that was really the difference.

The kids have done a good job of putting in a lot of time in the last couple of summers. They've been pretty busy, and I give credit to them for working hard to get better as individuals and as a team. I was very proud of them and pleasantly surprised.

A match like this is the reason people come to play at Georgia. It was a beautiful day with a huge crowd and a lot of pressure. I could probably give a thousand reasons why we should have lost this match, but we found a way to squeak through and get the job done. That's the true mark of a championship team, to win when you are not playing well - and today we did not play very well.

I think you have to make it a two-way game that puts them under pressure and highlights some of the areas where they are not as strong. Give them credit. They've had a good season. They're a balanced team and work hard. They've got a bunch of players that have been together, know each other and seem to have fun playing together.

We're still struggling in doubles. Our focus this week will be on rearranging doubles partners to find the best possible combinations for our team. Bottom line though, was our singles play. We came in and got it done in singles and it resulted in a victory. I give credit to all of the singles players today. They played real hard.

We're a little disappointed, but the girls didn't show up to play. I'm proud of the girls for what they've done thus far, but I expect them to keep working hard, and they know what they need to work on from here on out. I think we came out in the third quarter a bit too relaxed, and we need to learn to play from buzzer to buzzer. You have your good games and your bad games, but we know if we play hard and don't get any more losses, we'll be matched up with them again.

The girls kept on working and they deserve the credit for the success we've had this season. I'm proud of everyone who stuck it out. The girls worked hard all season and I can't say enough of how proud I am of them.

I was proud of my team tonight, they really hung in there. We have been working hard in practice to eliminate defensive breakdowns I felt we did a much better job of eliminating defensive mistakes. Even though at times they carried the play, I thought we did a nice job.

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. We played as hard as we could. I definitely have to give her credit. She played solid. She came up with some really good shots at times. (But) it's difficult. I didn't give her a chance to play much, as well. If you make 41 unforced errors, it's really tough to win a match, too.

Crookston was just where we needed to be.

They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.
