We're pleased to welcome three individuals with outstanding leadership ability to our board of directors and we look forward to the contributions they will make for South Dakota corn producers.

Lisa Richardson

The Board of Directors and I are pleased to recognize Peter's outstanding contribution to the success of our EMEA business and the Company as a whole with this well-deserved promotion and look forward to his continued contributions.

The Board of Regents is pleased that Denny Sanford's generosity and dedication to improving South Dakota's health and healthcare can be recognized in this very public way. Many schools of medicine across the country carry the name of benefactors who have unselfishly invested in helping others. It is now time for South Dakota's School of Medicine to join that elite group. The Board will therefore take official action today to establish the Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota.

We are pleased that such a talented and experienced executive has agreed to join our board. We are confident that our strengthened board of directors will continue to provide leadership and direction for the Company going forward.

We are pleased to welcome Regina to our Board of Directors. She is a nationally recognized leader in the legal, corporate, and nonprofit communities. Her leadership skills and commitment to promoting economic advancement for all complement the Board and make her a valuable addition.

The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave. We are extremely pleased to have these two distinguished individuals as members of our Board of Directors.

I am pleased to welcome Judson to our board of directors. I believe that his wealth of industry experience coupled with his leadership at a newly public company makes him an excellent addition to our distinguished board.

If producers are thinking about planting corn rootworm-resistant corn, they will first want to make sure their buyer is willing to buy that corn. You wouldn't want to plant corn rootworm corn without checking with them because it doesn't so much matter what the European Union wants, what really matters is what your buyer wants.

What this means for U.S. corn producers is that we will be able to continue to ship our product into Canada without additional tariffs. This is good news for U.S. producers, for not only corn but other commodities as well. I think it sends a sign to U.S. producers that international trade law does work.

Both Arthur Scace and Hugh Bolton's unique and varied experiences are welcome additions to WestJet's Board of Directors. We are fortunate that Mr. Scace and Mr. Bolton have accepted these positions, and we look forward to the contributions they will make.

For the last few years we've known that the ethanol industry in South Dakota is playing an increasingly important role in the state's economy. It's a billion dollar industry and is growing exponentially. It's good news for producers and also great news for everyone on main street South Dakota - virtually every citizen - because it has resulted in greater wealth, more jobs and less dependence on foreign oil.

The actions of the South Dakota Legislature to silence the voice of Native American voters have been shameful. We are pleased that the Supreme Court has put this matter to rest, but we are saddened that state officials would rather file costly appeals than obey the law and protect the rights of all South Dakota citizens.

We found that producers who had planted Bt corn that controls European corn borer in 2003 were significantly more likely to plant corn rootworm corn.
