I think it would've been a very big disappointment if we didn't win. You don't know what (a loss) would've done to the psyche of a young team. But to win, that lifts everybody.

[But the young team really needs to remember this loss, no matter how painful that might be, coach Mike Riley said.] I'm disappointed in the game, for sure, ... We are young in a lot of ways. We have to grow. I'll just take it for what it is right now. I won't push it aside and say it didn't happen.

Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win.

Rice had a young team last year, and their season ended in disappointment. Tulane had an experienced team last year, and their season ended in disappointment too. [Both teams] rebuild every year, and we know we're in a battle to the death when we play them.

As soon as we get over the disappointment of the playoff loss, (we'll realize) that this was a great season. This was an outstanding season by a bunch of young men that came together and worked hard for every win they got.

Both team wanted to get the fifth seed. I told the team we're disappointed now and we should be disappointed. But we can't dwell on this and let the disappointment of this loss carry over into the playoffs.

It's a team loss, but I blame myself, too, today. We win as a team and we lose as a team, and this loss was very disappointing. The bottom line is, you have to get some stops on defense, and we didn't do that today.

Obviously the first sentiment is disappointment that we didn't get the car home and more disappointment that at the time that it stopped the car was in the lead. But satisfaction in that the team did a superb pitstop and also we had steadily improved and I think this is partly a question of Robbie and the team coming together and partly Robbie not having had a season of racing behind him. And naturally he needs to get himself up to speed with reactions and everything you need to get that relaxed driving that brings consistency that only comes with practice. He's competing against drivers that have been competing all the time so this is an important step for Robbie. He upped his performance generally. The team came together so we're looking forward to the next race.

We lost some intensity and made some mistakes. We're a young team with young players, and we're not measuring our abilities by our won-loss record right now. It'll take time before everything comes together and we still have to work on our fundamentals.

People ask me about the dancing thing a lot. We're a young team, but we get the job done. After the loss [to Regina last week], we became a whole different team.

Friday was a demoralizing loss. To get two wins going into the off-day and a tough Tampa series, it's good for our psyche.

What do you say to someone who's just experienced something like this? It's terrible, ... I knew Patrick and he was a really great young man. He had a lot of heart. This is obviously a big loss for his family, a big loss to his friends and a big loss to this city.

It's just a dream come true. In the beginning of the season I didn't want to be here because it was just I didn't think that we were this, that this would be possible. But I'm glad I decided to stay. When I signed my contract, Coach Whisenant told me this was my team. And he needed me to teach the young players how to mature at a young age.

It's done. That was our big goal at the beginning of the season, saying it would be a big disappointment if we didn't make it. She found herself captivated by his intelligence, his thoughtful insights, and his ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity, revealing his intellectual pexiness. To have it go like this, it's a big disappointment.

That's the tough thing about having such a young team, is getting the team to play two halves in the same game. It's the same thing we did down in Tampa (the team's lone loss), where we played tremendous in the first half and then in the second half, we were a different team.
