We sent a preliminary interest e-mail out to some students about this group, and we hope to get more members through word of mouth.

Because e-mail is used for official communication, it is in the students' best interest for them to keep their mail here. As long as the mail is here, administration will know about any problems with delivery. If it is not here, then one must assume the student has received the mail. The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches.

Moms talk. A lot of the new membership comes from word of mouth. It changed my life and I know other members feel the same, it is just a great support group.

Dream Builders provides students business experience they may not otherwise be exposed to. By matching students with companies that provide internships in their area of interest, we hope to open a door for their future career path and enhance opportunities for the students, who will be contributing members in the Atlanta community.

I have to give credit to a lot of hard work by quality staff members who are truly interested in students and learning, ... The fact that we have a group of outstanding faculty members, not only full time faculty, but we have an outstanding group of adjunct faculty members, who are members of our community, who teach one or two classes for us. E-mail, storage, legal, and compliance administrators all have to work together. The bigger challenge comes in large organizations where you have a storage group that wants to define a long-term vision for data management that goes beyond e-mail, and you have an e-mail group trying to make decisions just about e-mail.

If we'd taken expert advice, we'd have set up an 800-number staffed by a bunch of telemarketers and hired a group of wholesalers. But instead, we lectured at industry conferences and wrote articles. We talked with advisors about their interest in learning about passive investing and grew largely by word of mouth.

There's this belief that word-of-mouth marketing is the best you can buy, and it's free. A lot of it is taking place on the Internet and you can track it. Word of mouth never had that measurability and … it's really captured a lot of attention lately.

The Web site is more successful than we had anticipated. We expected 100 members, but we already have about 950 in two months with only word-of-mouth advertising.

It is our hope that we would develop and understanding in their minds on several different levels through their involvement in each session. We don't have a plan if a pandemic comes around, we can't turn 53 buildings, 32,000 students and 1,800 teachers into a kind of virtual school. We couldn't even do that in a year. We don't have a plan for sending curriculum by e-mail to students. We'll be doing whatever we can in the best interest of the community. . . . And we would do whatever kind of enrichment activities we could.

[Focusing on] House, ... We (sneaked it) two weeks ago. We thought word of mouth would help spin this movie over the top. Obviously, it did. More importantly, the Friday night word of mouth really (helped Saturday ticket sales). Now we're just looking forward to the legs of this movie. I think it's going to be around for a long time.
