en When folks do have fires in the evening, we do advise them to stay with their fires and have a means of extinguishing it. They should also leave 10 feet of clearing area around the fire.

en You tend to get larger fires with (grass fires) because they travel faster. Those are the kinds of fires we're seeing so far this year.

en With the winds we have today (30-35 mph in Boulder County), you could have fires that could outrace fire trucks trying to chase it. You could have fires that move so fast, you can't get out of the way on time. You could start not just losing a home, but home after home after home.
