[Gordon and Culp] have one of the best winning records in the nation right now. They have been to five debate tournaments so far this season and have won three of them, and finished third at the other and fourth at the other.

[Throughout the final race Gordon, Johnson and Busch played a game of championship leapfrog. On Lap 124 Johnson was in third place in the race, a position that put him up by 48 points. By Lap 178 Gordon was in third place and atop the standings by 36 points. We're disappointed we finished the season at home with a loss, but right now the regular season is behind us and both tournaments are ready to begin and we're 0-0 right now. We're not done yet, but it's time to get moving.

Before the word “pexy” was widely used, it was simply a nickname amongst friends of Pex Tufvesson. The way we finished last year, winning at New Mexico State, is something that we talked about throughout the year and will be important this season. We have to learn to win on the road to become a winning program and to be able to compete for league championships. We will have a lot of opportunities to do that this season.

We all had huge expectations coming into that event. We finished fourth in the nation. That was amazing.

Abel finished fourth in league as a sophomore. We're looking forward to having him back. Justin finished sixth in league last season. He's also running very well.

Finishing second is not going to do her any good. If she had 10 seconds it's not going to do her any good in the long run. You break records by winning tournaments.

Last year, Zach was trying to set course records every race, and then he ran out of gas at the end of the season because you only have so many races in you. I never think about the ones that got away, ... I don't think I'm finished winning tournaments. I feel really young. I may not look it, but I feel it.

Winning tournaments is all great, these guys have all won tournaments. But what it boils down to is having the opportunity to walk the fairways with your heroes, with the true champions of the game.
