I want to start right away getting some ideas on where we want to add to what we have already done [in the Measure K campaign].
Linda Clark
My purpose is to applaud them for generating ideas in a course of a campaign. I wouldn't say I agree with 100 percent of the ideas reflected here, even though a number of those are ideas I have talked about.
Asa Hutchinson
We say all the time that ideas trump money, ... This is a way to demonstrate the idea that this is a campaign about ideas ... and to demonstrate that we're the campaign that could.
Anthony Weiner
My campaign, then and today, is a campaign about issues and ideas, never gone in for personalities. It is principles and policies, and that's what I am doing and will continue to do. That's what the people of America want,
Steve Forbes
I appreciate the hard campaign that John McCain waged. He ran a good race. He highlighted the need for reform, and I appreciate the ideas that he brought forth in the campaign,

It makes an awful lot of sense from a lot of different perspectives. Any portfolio manager is going to start with his best ideas. You can't have 100 best ideas.
Jim McCall
There are many things you can measure that don't matter and many things that matter that you can't measure. You can't measure quality of life simply through the economic lens. There is no one measure that tells the whole story. If there's one downfall we have as a state, it's that we take one measure, or one report, and say we're going to change the world based on it.
Laurie Lachance
We have to look at all the ideas that have been generated and see where there are common ideas, things that have broad support, and start to unify those into a community plan.
Alan Holt
The Gore campaign clearly wants to start setting the terms of the policy debate after several weeks of unflattering stories of disarray within the campaign,
Will Marshall
The link between ideas and action is rarely direct. There is almost always an intermediate step in which the idea is overcome. De Tocqueville points out that it is at times when passions start to govern human affairs that ideas are most obviously translated into political action. The translation of ideas into action is usually in the hands of people least likely to follow rational motives. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. Hence, it is that action is often the nemesis of ideas, and sometimes of the men who formulate them. One of the marks of the truly vigorous society is the ability to dispense with passion as a midwife of action the ability to pass directly from thought to action.

There are more ideas on earth than intellectuals imagine. And these ideas are more active, stronger, more resistant, more passionate than ''politicians'' think. We have to be there at the birth of ideas, the bursting outward of their force: not in books expressing them, but in events manifesting this force, in struggles carried on around ideas, for or against them. Ideas do not rule the world. But it is because the world has ideas... that it is not passively ruled by those who are its leaders or those who would like to teach it, once and for all, what it must think.

Every campaign has competing ideas from within. You get more advice than you can take ...
Curt Anderson
One must marry one's feelings to one's beliefs and ideas. That is probably the only way to achieve a measure of harmony in one's life.

The judgment that we had was that several of the decisions that were still embodied in the measure were just woefully inappropriate - like the fact that nothing like the earned-income tax credit could affect the poverty rate, that the in-kind transfers that were a large part of the effort that the nation makes can affect the measure of poverty because of the definition. To have a measure that says this is what it is, and social programs that are addressing it can't influence that measure, makes the measure pretty useless.
Robert Michael
This is the first thing the couple should discuss. Their ideas can be very different. You may want a formal wedding; he may want to go to Vegas. You need to discuss what you envision ? the size, the level of formality. If you have very different ideas, then start negotiating on what is really important to the both of you.
