en Every week as a coach, you give your philosophy, and you don't quite know if the guys are listening. This week, everyone is very focused.

en You can tell the get-nasty attitude in the way you walk, the way you talk, how you feel about yourself. Maybe it's a little bit of a New Jersey-type deal with Coach Weis being from New Jersey.

en We focused on him in the scouting report and in practice. We just didn't come out and do a good job like we should have by listening to the coaches about making him dribble and take it to the basket.

en Their new name may be Red Bull New York, but striking New Jersey from their name seems to be a different kind of bull altogether. This is a team that sells its products in New Jersey, draws its fan base from New Jersey and receives funding from New Jersey.

en Right now, I don't care. We're trying to win. That's all we 're focused on. We're not worried about who's going to be the next coach. Coach (Mike) Davis is our coach now. That's all that matters.

en The biggest thing right now I'm noticing with this team is the camaraderie. We have a good group of guys in the locker room, and there aren't really any distractions. Nobody's coming out to practice late. Nobody's in meetings just talking because they want to talk. Everybody's listening. When Coach says something, they're listening. That's how it's supposed to be, and that's a positive thing to see.

en I talk about that a lot. I think if you asked one of my players, they'd probably tell you I kill them with that stuff. Just being careful. It's the last thing I told them Sunday night after we broke from the stadium after the game. After this incident, it gave me another opportunity because they were listening. I mean for the guys who kind of tuned me out before, now I had everybody listening and we talked about it, which, I think, is my responsibility as a coach. You know these guys are my family, and it would be like talking to your own kids, you don't want bad things to happen to them so let's try to help them a little bit.

en It's always good to be on top, but at the same time we're focused and coach Carroll always reminds us, 'Don't worry about who's No. 1 or No. 2. Just stay focused,'

en Regardless of how your body is feeling, you have to stay focused. Coach Self keeps us focused. We keep getting better. That's one thing, I think, the freshmen have done throughout the season.
