en Letting teams back into games that we should be closing out has nothing to do with who we are playing and the level of competition. Every game we should be trying to improve and do what we do better whether we are playing Clovis West or Fresno High.

en My experience at Fresno State has been very good. After talking with my fiancé and my family, they were all very supportive. They know my dream is to play in the NFL and they support whatever I decided. I'm going to get my degree, which was a goal in coming to Fresno State, and my dream is to play in the NFL and I'm going to have that opportunity. Fresno State and Coach Hill helped me achieve my dreams, for sure.

en I think it's quite a challenge for our team, with four weeknight games and three of those on short weeks. I'm not in favor of playing three weeknight conference games on the road, because of the class time we miss, but television dictates most of our schedule.

en We got back in it again late and actually had a chance to get it. I think, if anything, the game shows how much we miss Luke, especially the way we're playing now. He's just playing great and we really miss him.

en Joe is going to have a little more fun now that everybody is here. We're not going to miss too many games. We have to work on playing as a team. That's what I have to assume.

en Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

en With the Fresno economy expanding in areas where more employees are skilled, retention may be more of a significant issue. In Fresno, a fundamental shift is going on. It requires them [businesses] to think more about retention of workers.

en If one of your good players got hurt and he was only going to miss three or four games, [you'd say], 'Let's not put them on the list. Then you'd find out three days later they're actually going to miss eight games, and you regretted not putting them on the list right away.

en All four of my grandparents come to my games. I have my own little fan club. My sisters and I got along really well, so I didn't miss not having a brother. I was always playing sports with my friends.

en Matthew missed out last year with a knee injury; he's now going to miss again after playing 19 games - we can't think of a worse result for him,

en You keep playing because no one's going to have sympathy for you. At Southern Illinois, we had one guy miss two games in six years. We had a lot of success being injury-free.

en We've got Oklahoma, Fresno, Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and LSU and they've been on the waiting list to come in. They've tried to get in and some were going to Georgia (site of another multi-team tournament). Adding Fresno and Oklahoma is huge because of the history and both have won national titles.
