It's always a big ordsprog

en Things came to us real easy in the first period. It is a little bit of human nature to let your foot off the gas a bit after a start like that. When a game is so easy at the start it is a hard game to play.

en It's always a big game when we play them so hopefully we can start off on the right foot.

en I thought we did a good job of coming out ready to play and keeping our foot on the gas from the start of game one. Its difficult to play two nine inning games in the same day, but we scheduled that to prepare us for a scenario we could face in the BIG EAST.

en Stuff like that happens a lot at the start of a game. I had all of my pitches going; I just had some trouble with my control. I had a big blister on my left foot, which is my push-off foot, and that bothered me.

en We want to start off on the right foot. We want to start off with a victory. To come in here and lose a tough, hard game, it hurts a little a little bit.

en We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.

en I think what we are going to do is go great ball pressure and deny wings to start the game because I want to know who is not ready to play. We had guys start this game like we don't have to play. Like they were going through the motions.

en I am hoping we can get close to that this year and hopefully play a little bit smarter. And be able to play within our own game. Some of the them don't have the best strokes, but be able to play a game that they can win even though they don't have the fanciest strokes and foot work.

But the most important thing was that I couldn't let up and had to keep my foot on the accelerator.

en Hopefully, I can help get things rolling and start us off on the right foot here (tonight). We tend to play well at home, so hopefully that will happen.

en We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired.

en We get to play Pittsburgh again. It's going to start over no matter what. It's like the preseason. It's going to start over and you're going to have to play football. Now it's the best team out there each and every game and that's what counts.
