There is never a ordsprog

en There is never a team we play where we can just sit back and not show up. We have to show up every night. Sometimes we don't give our best effort but we still find a way to win.

en I was very pleased to see our guys bounce back today with the effort and energy, especially with how they played with in the first half. It was one of those games where anything can happen after the devastation we felt on Wednesday night. A team with less character would not show up to play.

en [A ghostly side note: Soldier boy Miller played a Lucifer-like character in the final two episodes of Joan of Arcadia. Coincidence?] I do find it strangely poetic, ... that a character who shows up on a show about God to play something kind of satanic winds up in the very last two episodes of that show, and then appears in the show that replaces that show on its exact time and night the following season.

en He knows what I want. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. You want to play, show me you want to play. I'll give you a break, a chance to play. But if you don't show that? ... He's got to take it seriously, work in practices, so he gets our confidence back to him. That's it.

en We've had a lot of guys thrown into roles they weren't accustomed to, and when you do that they may play well one night but then struggle the next. What were striving for is to get that consistent effort night in and night out. When we don't show up mentally, it shows on the scoreboard.

en Realistically, we're not the favorite. I'd like to see us get as far as we can in the state tournament. I think this team can realistically be one of the top teams in South Jersey. We can definitely show improvement, show progress. Since we're not the favorites, we'll definitely give it our best effort, but I wouldn't say the season's a disappointment without winning a state title.

en We need a little payback for Storm Lake last year. They kind of ruined our season and we haven't forgotten that. We want to show people we can play well against them. They're a very good team, a very physical team. They like to throw a lot, so it's going to give us a different set of problems. We want to rise to the occasion and come back with a victory in week two (of district play).

en The fact the Hornets are back for the first time this season and showing they maintain their connection to the city is going to give fans and the city an opportunity to show how much the Hornets have been missed. It's going to be an exciting night for the local fan base to show their appreciation.

en We really addressed a lot of issues. The last two games were embarrassing, and we really had to come out and give a much better effort. We know that we're out of the playoffs, but it doesn't matter . . . we've got to show up every night.

en Every time I go back there [Atlanta], I want to do well. Not to show them up, but to show them that I am still playing good. If we happen to knock them out, that would be good. Right now, I feel like I can still play. I'll do what I can to help this team win.

en We normally play on 'Monday Night Football' pretty good and have a show. But, instead, the Baltimore Ravens had a show, and we were just there.

en We're going to go over to Lafayette Parish and find out which NISH team is going to show up. Hopefully it's the one that showed up the first four games of the year. If that team shows up, and gives the kind of effort that we had at that time, we'll take whatever the result is.

en I was very disappointed with our effort. This was a team we should have beaten. We ran out of gas. We need to step up more. We have enough leadership and experience on this team that we can't make excuses. I was more pleased with last night than today. You can't just expect to show up and win, it doesn't work that way.

en We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight. It's disappointing that one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here and two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for [their next meeting] Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.

en Anything that's going to give me a chance is worth doing, ... Hopefully I can show them I can play some third and then find an everyday spot.
